What I hope to do in writing this article is to spark an interest in the matter of Initiation, which is the goal of all sentient life on this planet, having been incorporated into the Plan of Sanat Kumara since mid-Atlantean Times. I realize that there is overlap with these different teachings and writings of mine, but that is all with the good intention of making the highly esoteric material more readily understandable to the average reader. I write simplistically and coherently for that very reason.
I absolutely must give credit to the teachings of The Ascended Master Djwhal Khul, which I consider to be the greatest and most profound teachings to be given to modern Mankind. These were dictated to that disciple of Kuthumi, Alice A. Bailey, in a variety of ways for a 30-year period from 1919 to 1949 A.D. And I certainly must credit Benjamin Creme, who has the most thorough understanding of these occult teachings that I've ever read and who has the ability to break them down and present them in a "down to Earth" way that makes them more accessible to the non-Initiate masses. Of course, it must help to have an Ascended Master over-shadowing you and in telepathic contact, but I consider him to be an advanced Initiate himself, probably of 3rd Degree and then some.
In a very quick and concise recapitulation, the 5 Major Initiations along the Path of Initiation on Earth are the Birth, the Baptism, the Transfiguration, the Renunciation, and the Revelation, after which incarnate (born of the womb) physicality is no more and one is an Ascended Master of the Wisdom (see "The Only Path On Earth"). Any direct contact with Humanity after that is by way of the mayavirupa or body of manifestation precipitated by visualization and an act of the will by The Master (although some few of The Masters keep the old physical form which is transmuted by Light). The Path of Discipleship (to a Master) and the Initiatory Path are entered only at the very end phase of the cycle of incarnations when the incarnate personality is beginning to come under the guidance and control of the Soul.
The first 3 Initiations are taken respectively following the establishment of total and unwavering control of the lower self personality over the physical body (and its appetites and demands), the astral body (and its emotions, desires, and illusions), and the mental body (placing the concrete mind in contact with and in rapport with the higher abstract mind). The 2nd Initiation is the most difficult because of the prominence and power of the emotional body in the experience of humans on Earth (the emotional experiment of the galaxy), and the 3rd Initiation or Soul Merge cannot be taken until the personality has become polarized in the mental body where the focus of attention must be habitually oriented.
The conditions and requirements for Initiation have been raised through the centuries and millennia because of the increasing sophistication and knowledge base of the human mind (overseen by Lord Hilarion, The Chohan of the 5th Ray), so that what was required of an Initiate a couple thousand years ago may not even lead to the Portal of the 1st Initiation now. Conversely, the first couple of Initiations taken back then were high achievements for that time period. The very first time that the 3rd Initiation was even offered on Earth was back in Atlantean Times when a small group were collectively Initiated by The Lord of The World, Sanat Kumara. Included in that group were The Ones that we've now come to know as The Buddha (Lord Amitabha) and The Master of The Masters, Lord Maitreya. Maitreya was the first One to take the Transfiguration, Who had come out of Earth's evolution. Others of High Initiate Status had come from elsewhere to help out on this planet (for more information about Earth's Spiritual Hierarchy, go to "The Ashram Of The King").
What I want to do here is mainly to stimulate some interest in Initiation itself by giving out names of Initiates who have walked the Earth, perhaps their Initiate Status at the time of passing from that life, and assundry tidbits of information about them not commonly known. The information comes from The Level of Hierarchy, from Those Who Know, including The Master of Benjamin Creme. The reader is in for some surprises, because there are Initiates in all walks of life, not just the religious or spiritual sphere. For the longest time I had thought that the Path of Initiation was entered by embarking on a life of holiness and sanctimoniousness and spiritual aspirations and prayer and devotional single-mindedness like the christian saints of the Occident and the swamis and lamas of the Orient, but theirs' is just part of the story, only one of the lines of approach.
The type of Ray Energies (of the 7 Rays) impacting the personality and its 3-fold bodies (physical, astral, mental) determines the way that a personality will express, the direction that it will take, the career field it will choose, the vices and virtues of character that it will have available, the orientation of its service in the world for Humanity, service being an essential for the Path. In other words, there are Initiates who are and have been politicians, kings, military leaders, painters, musical composers, inventors, scientists, philosophers, teachers, popes, humble monks and nuns, sculptors, and you name it.
Most of the 1st and 2nd Degree Initiates don't even consciously know of their Initiate Status or of the Initiation that they took in a previous life. They are compelled from within (by the Soul) to follow their course in life and serve without a conscious knowledge of these matters. To give you an example of how small the numbers are, there are around a million 1st Degree Initiates in the world, a few hundred thousand 2nd Degree Initiates, a few thousand of the 3rd Degree, and about 500 of the 4th Degree. In total, they are far below 1% of the human population here, to put it into perspective. As I've said elsewhere on my website, fewer than 1% of Humanity are expected to make the Dimensional Shift with the planet in our near-term future, and I think there is a correlation between these two figures.
The basis of the new world-wide religion, after the New Aquarian Age has begun and after the Externalization of The Spiritual Hierarchy, when most of The Masters and The Avatar of The Christ Consciousness are walking the Earth, will be Initiation. Mystery Schools will be established around the world, and The World Teacher will supervise (see "Who Are The Spiritual Hierarchy?").
Here's a point that's been evasive. Being Initiate is not a matter of being what we've come to call "holy", although quite a few can fit that description. Being Initiate is a matter of gaining more and more proficiency in controlling the forces of Nature and the forces of The 7 Rays as distributed to Earth by The 7 Chohans of The Rays (see "The Seven Rays Explained"). Secrets are imparted by The Hierophant of the Initiations, which in a progressive manner allow the Disciple-Initiate to manipulate energy and forces for the benefit of greater and greater swaths of Humanity and on higher and higher Planes of Reality as the Path is traversed. The Initiate is a Force to be reckoned with, and each stage of ascent entrusts more powerful secrets and grants a more encompassing vision of the Plan for Earth. Depending on The Rays of influence and the point of attainment, each Initiate contributes to the Master Plan of Sanat Kumara from the chosen field of endeavor while incarnate.
Let's get down to the nitty gritty and find out who some of these people are. How about starting with the religious figures of antiquity? Jehoshuah Ben Yussef (Jesus-Sananda) came in as a 3rd Degree Initiate in the usual way. There was no "virgin birth" or immaculate conception. He took the 4th Initiation (Renunciation) at the Crucifixion, which was its exteriorized form. Maitreya, The World Teacher at the time, fully overshadowed Jesus from the Baptism in the Jordan River to the Crucifixion and took His 6th Initiation at that same time, a very powerful event.
All of His inner circle were Initiates of varying degree, the Apostles, John the Baptist, the Magdalene, Nicodemus, Joseph of Arimathea. Saint Joseph and Mother Mary were both 2nd Degree Initiates, Joseph being an incarnation of Master Rakoczi (Saint Germain), now a 6th Level Initiate and Chohan. Mary entered several more lives and has become an Ascended Master (The Masters don't really have a gender). The whole effort was a group endeavor by The Hierarchy to raise consciousness in the West.
John the Beloved was an incarnation of Kuthumi. I think Peter was an incarnation of El Morya. Hilarion was embodied as the one who was given the astral visions by Maitreya on the Island of Patmos and which came down to us as the Book of Revelations in the Bible. He dictated, as best he could describe them, the experiences to a scribe of Saint John, and as the centuries intervened, the authorship was given over to John. The symbolic visions covered various periods of time and weren't solely applicable to the coming Tribulation and Shift.
Saint Paul was a 2nd Degree Initiate working on the 3rd Initiation, which He was able to complete by the end of that life of hardship. Saul of Tarsus was the incarnation of The Master we now know as Hilarion. If the author of Revelations and Saul were living concurrently (I suspect they were), it's an example of simultaneous incarnation and fragmentation of consciousness from higher to lower levels.
If Saint Peter was El Morya incarnate, so was Melchior the Magus or Wise Man from Persia who brought gifts to the Infant Jesus, another example of the above. Kuthumi was embodied as John the Beloved but also as Balthazar the Magus who travelled with Melchior. This demonstrates that Masters do not have to become incarnate in only one personality at a time. The third member of the 3 Magi who visited Infant Jesus was Caspar, an incarnate expression of Djwhal Khul.
Jesus came back as Apollonius of Tyana and took the 5th or Revelatory Initiation and Ascended at the end of that life. Mary, the sister of Martha and Lazarus in Bethany (she wasn't from Magdala), was also Initiate, though at a low level. I've received enough confirmation to state that Jesus and Miriam the Magdalene were wed and had children. I know that's a controversial one but needn't be. He was basically surrounded by Initiates in a major thrust of The White Brotherhood to give a boost to Western Civilization. They collectively created an encircling thought-form and energy field which protected Him and afforded the proper high energetics for His Mission and that of Maitreya. The inner circle all knew of His Consciousness being overlighted by The World Teacher. All of His inner circle of the time have gone on to become Ascended Masters, and some of Them have moved on from Earth to higher evolutionary schemes. John the Baptist has gone on to Sirius, The Higher Self of our Solar Logos, on the Path to Sirius, one of the 7 Paths of the Higher Evolution which face the 6th Level Initiate. He will return to Earth as an Avatar from Sirius in a few hundred years.
Jesus wasn't the only Initiate Who was overshadowed by Maitreya. Krishna, who's teachings come down to us essentially intact in the Bhagavad Gita, was born a 4th Degree Initiate, very advanced for 5,000 years ago. He came as The Avatar and Wayshower for the Age of Taurus and, as had been pre-planned, was fully overshadowed in a sacrificial manner by Maitreya in all aspects of His Being from birth. He turned Himself over to the Will and the Love and the Intelligence (The 3 Divine Aspects) of Maitreya and took the 5th Initiation in that lifetime. Then Maitreya also overshadowed the Great Swami Shankaracharya in a similar manner. It's a little bit confusing because Maitreya can also be considered to have been incarnate in Krishna, there was such a merging of consciousness (from the outset), and if that's the case then the Krishna Lifetime can be taken as the Ascension Lifetime of Maitreya. But His relationship with Shankaracharya was as stated.
The Master (Amitabha) Who overshadowed Prince Siddartha Gautama roughly 2,600 years ago was The World Teacher and Chohan of the 2nd Ray just prior to Maitreya assuming that Position. We have called that One The Buddha, though there are actually a total of 6 Buddhas or Kumaras in our Spiritual Hierarchy, surrounding Sanat Kumara in consciousness-proximity. Each Kumara focalizes one of the 7 Rays. Lord Amitabha, Who taught through Prince Gautama, is now The 2nd Ray Buddha. He manifested the Wisdom Aspect of the Ray, and Maitreya manifested the Love Aspect (through Jesus). Buddha is more of an Office than a name. Ascended Master Gautama has taken the Path to Sirius and is a part of The Sirius Hierarchy now, and Amitabha Buddha comes once a year to conduct and oversee the Wesak Festival in a secret valley in the Himalayas during the Full Moon in Taurus. The blessing energy of The Buddha is directed to a triangulation of The 3 Great Lords (The Manu, The Bodhisattva, and The Mahachohan), and They step it down and disperse it to the assembled Initiates Who conduct ceremony and chant mantrams. The energy is later passed on to Humanity. (Link to "Lord Buddha and The Wesak Moon".)
Zoroaster (also called Zarathustra) was a 4th Degree Initiate working toward the Ascension but didn't quite get there in that lifetime. His point of attainment was very high for that time. His father, Zend, was an incarnation of Jesus-Sananda. The Parsis of India derive their religion from the writings and teachings of Zoroaster. Pythagorus, around that same time in the Mediterranean Basin, came in as a 2nd Level Initiate and was one of the lifetimes of Kuthumi. I should mention that Moses or Moishe was likewise an Initiate in The Hierarchy and on the 2nd Level. He took his training in Egypt and was Initiated in the Great Pyramid. These Incarnations were ways for The Great White Brotherhood of Earth to advance the consciousness of Mankind, and They have come repeatedly down through the ages to all parts of the Earth, all countries, all cultures, in all walks of life.
Continuing on the theme of religion, with an emphasis on the West because this will mostly be read by Westerners who understand English, Initiates have poured forth from The Hierarchy ever with the intention of upliftment of Mankind ensnared within the thought-form of the mundane, and They have been motivated to advance causes in line with the Greater Vision of Sanat Kumara and The Council of Shamballa. A few examples of these would be Pharoah Akhnaton, Rama, Vyasa, Mithra, and Hermes/Thoth, all Initiates in The Brotherhood. Mohammed was a high level Initiate for his time (3rd) and was working toward the 4th in that lifetime. What isn't known by many is that in continuing his advancement along the Path, he reincarnated in the 16th century as a yogi in India and spent much of his life in meditation in the Himalayas. Then he came back in the 18th century in America as Patrick Henry to consolidate his 4th Initiate Status and make some progress toward the Ascension. He was one of the principle leading lights of the American Revolution.
All the major social movements and reforms of Western Civilization were fostered by and promoted by and successfully organized by Initiates from various Ashrams of Earth's Hierarchy (each Ashram using different Ray Forces and being overseen by a Master - see "The Seven Rays Explained"), and The One responsible for the planning and outcome of all those social movements is called The Regent for Europe and America, The Chohan of the 7th Ray, Master Rakoczi/Saint Germain. He was the Guiding Force behind all of them and will some day be the next Lord of Civilization or Mahachohan of The 3rd Ray Department of The Hierarchy. (As early as the 1930's, Master Djwhal Khul was calling Him The Mahachohan.)
The list is pretty impressive:
-- The Italian Renaissance, designed to pull Europe out of the Dark Ages. Of course, it spread from Italy to other parts of Europe. There were so many Initiates involved in this effort, but I can give a few: the philosophers John Locke and Giordano Bruno, the writer Miguel Cervantes, the composer Palestrina, the violin maker Antonio Stradivari. Then there are the truly great painters of the era: Jan Vermeer, Tintoretto, Peter Paul Rubens, Rembrandt, Raphael, Nicolas Poussin, Michaelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Hans Holbein, El Greco, Albrecht Durer, Sandro Botticelli, and Paulo Veronese who took his Ascension in that lifetime. Art would play a major role in awakening consciousness.
-- Masonry, passed down to us from Atlantean Times and having codes, numbers, mantras, and symbols in its rites and rituals which were carried over from Initiation Ceremonies on Atlantis. In cooperation with the Knights Templar, they gave us the great Gothic Cathedrals of Europe. These were leaders and rulers and prominent citizens with a social conscience who worked behind the scenes.
-- Secret Societies of Europe, including the Rosecrucian Society which was founded by an embodiment of Saint Germain, Christian Rosenkreutz. They carried the light during the darker times.
-- The Protestant Reformation, a powerful movement designed to get the Catholic Church, with all its power and fear-mongering and false dogmas, off the backs of the oppressed peoples. Martin Luther, John Knox, John Calvin, Girolamo Savonarola, and John Wesley were all Initiates.
-- The Industrial Revolution, aided by Lord Hilarion Who oversees all technological developement, a tremendous upliftment to the impoverished, nearly-enslaved workers of the world, providing more time in their life for thoughts more lofty than work, drudgery, and barest survival.
-- The Labor Union Movement, set in motion and propelled by an English Master, a movement which countered the power and control of the employers over their employees and greatly improved their wages, hours, safety, health, work conditions, and benefits. The working masses were given empowerment.
-- The Women's Suffrage and Liberation Movement, obviously with justice on its side, a thrust for equality between the sexes, long dominated by the male of the species, holding tenaciously to power.
-- The Civil Rights Movement, another movement with the intent of gaining equality in human relations, equality under the laws of the state, equality of opportunity, and equality among all the races of Man. Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Steve Biko, and Nelson Mandella were Initiates.
-- The Salvation Army, a pet project of Saint Germain, an institution which has helped millions of downtrodden, outcast, and impoverished souls. William Booth, the founder, was Initiate.
-- The Red Cross and Red Crescent, institutions of benevolence and altruism and the sharing of resources with those in need, a means for The Hierarchy to lovingly help those too desparate to help themselves.
-- The Theosophical Movement was sponsored by Masters El Morya and Kuthumi with the approval of The Mahachohan. It helped to raise consciousness and expose the existence of The Ascended Masters Who have worked behind the scenes since Atlantis went down for the last time (Poseidonis) and reintroduced many of the ancient mysteries taught to the Initiates in the Mystery Schools.
Helena P. Blavatsky and Henry S. Olcott were disciples of El Morya and both Initiates, of course. C. W. Leadbeater and Annie Besant were also Initiates though in the Ashram of Saint Germain. HPB was clairaudiently given the general outline and overview of "Isis Unveiled" and "The Secret Doctrine" by El Morya and Kuthumi, but the greater portion of her work was provided by Djwhal Khul (The Runner) through telepathic impression. She had come to help out in the beginning of the Renaissance as Count Cagliostro and in her life as HPB took the 4th Initiation of Renunciation. She was virtually kept alive by El Morya for the last decade of her life as she suffered through numerous physical ailments, the lot of those preparing for the 4th Degree.
The successors to Olcott, Blavatsky, and the Theosophical Society were also sponsored and guided by Masters, and they were Initiates of high standing. Helena Roerich was a disciple of El Morya and took the 4th Initiation in that life. All of her writings were mentally impressed upon her by Morya with exception of "The Call", which came from Maitreya. "Agni Yoga" was from her First Ray Master. Alice Ann Bailey was a disciple of Kuthumi but served as the amanuensis of Djwhal Khul (The Tibetan) for 30 years from 1919 to 1949. D.K. was assisting His Master, Kuthumi, in the project. Much of AAB's time was spent in bed because of her medical problems that she would not allow to hold her back, writing long-hand the telepathic dictations of D.K. until she could write no more. Later, He made it so that she could receive, clairvoyantly, His words lighted up on a tablet in her "minds eye", and she dictated the teachings into a recorder to be transcribed later by a secretary. She was 3rd Degree Initiate and working toward the 4th.
-- Anthroposophy is a sort of off-shoot of Theosophy in that Rudolph Steiner, its founder, had been a member of the Theosophical Society before breaking away. He was working a little beyond the 2nd Initiaton in that lifetime, was a disciple of Kuthumi, and his anthroposophical movement was yet another thrust of The Brotherhood, another piece of the mystical puzzle, another pixel of the greater picture of expanding awareness and advancing brotherhood.
-- The Bridge Activity, a movement of The White Brotherhood in the 1950's to bring forth further knowledge about and interest in The Ascended Masters and Their Retreats (in the Aetheric) around the world and to increase participation in the activities of the Ashrams of The Masters. El Morya had gotten permission from The Lords of Karma and The Solar Logos to create the movement, which was centered around Geraldine Innocenti, an incarnate expression of Morya. She was the conduit for all the messages from The Highest Principles in The Hierarchy from 1952 to 1958. The Bridge Activity of the '50's was a complement to the I Am Activity of the '30's, founded by Saint Germain through Guy Ballard to teach the use of decrees and invocations and the Violet Flame in one's life as well as to cooperate with The Hierarchy. Aspirants, disciples, and Initiates were attracted to both Activities.
-- The American Revolution was a major endeavor of Earth's Hierarchy to establish a bastion of freedom and individual liberty on the new continent across the Atlantic, a country which would serve as an example to the world in the ensuing centuries, a country with a Soul Ray of Love/Wisdom (2nd Ray), a country with the potential to share its divinely-inspired values and its wealth of resources with the world. Saint Germain was very much involved in its inception from the Revolution itself to the founding of the Republic and the writing of the U. S. Constitution, and a whole slew of Initiates had incarnated into the American Colonies in the 18th century to pull it off. This was a highly important endeavor of The Brotherhood, and all the stops would be pulled out. Mighty Britain didn't have much of a chance in keeping these colonies under thumb.
I'll list some of the principle figures, who were all Initiate and who received inspiration (knowingly or not) from Master Saint Germain and His 7th Ray Brotherhood: George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Edmund Burke, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Paine. They were all members of either the Freemasons or Rosicrucians or both, and on occasion Saint Germain would appear at meetings to offer counsel and support. At the drafting of the Declaration of Independence He appeared in a self-created form and gave a very laudatory, impassioned speech urging all to "Sign that document!" and then disappeared, not having been recognized. The U.S.A. is a special project of The 7th Ray Master because of the crucial role it has to play in the Time to Come (New Age in Aquarius).
-- The French Revolution was also Hierarchy inspired, though the executions got out of hand and outside the bounds of Hierarchical intent. Robespierre was Initiate as were the writers: Jean Paul Marat, Guy de Maupassant, and Claude de Saint-Simon. The Master Rakoczi, Who was already an Ascended Master, had manifested a body which came to be known as Le Comte de Saint Germain (from which we derive the name today), and for a couple hundred years He travelled around to the palaces and castles of the royalty in Europe advising the kings, queens, princes, and nobles of revolution to come if they did not make major changes in their policies toward and treatment of the peasantry and those on the low end of the totem pole. He spoke fluently and perfectly in their own languages, but few took heed of His warnings, including King Louis XVI who lost his head in the matter.
-- The Russian Revolution had their Initiates in Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky, both 2nd Degree. The philosophy and economic model of Karl Marx was an inspiration to the revolution, and Marx had also been Initiate. His original vision of sharing and oneness of effort and purpose and egalitarianism in orchestration of the social dynamics was a spiritual one, but it was soon distorted by the establishment of a new elite and new power structure to replace the old one of czars, princes, dukes, and estate holders. You could say that a good and noble idea, which was approved by The Higher Ups, had turned sour when it came time to actually implement the idea because the leaders were not Soul-controlled and could not resist the power thrust at them. We all know of the abominations of Stalin and the millions who were needlessly murdered.
I think that there is a point which needs to be explained. The High Initiates, Adepts, and Ascended Masters of our Hierarchy have to work through those who are incarnate because this evolutionary scheme called Earth is a free-will system , and They never break the laws and try to impose their Will on us. In supporting and bringing the Plan of Sanat Kumara into being, They mentally inspire and impress and nudge their Initiate Members to action in carrying out their portion of the Plan that was pre-incarnatively agreed to. The higher the Initiate Level, the more the responsibility and the more aspirants and disciples in that one's charge. The program is world-wide. It takes place in every land, every culture, every time period, and in every occupation and arena of human endeavor since the mid-Atlantean Era.
There are so many examples. In the field of politics and government, many of these leaders are strongly impacted by The 1st Ray of Divine Will. American presidents who were Initiate, aside from the ones mentioned in conjunction with the Revolution, include Jimmy Carter, Woodrow Wilson, Herbert Hoover, Franklin Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, and Abraham Lincoln, with Initiate Levels ranging from 1st to 3rd. Lincoln had the highest point of attainment, but the interesting thing about Lincoln is that in the 1850's he became a "Walk-In". He was so burdened by the pressures, the sadness, and the responsibilities of his life that he wanted out and, at the Soul Level, an agreement and exchange was worked out. The one who entered and agreed to live out the rest of his life was, I believe, the higher Initiate and, having taken the Soul Merge Initiation (3rd), was fully dominated by the Soul. We can see that higher consciousness in the absolute need to preserve the Sacred Union of America, the Emancipation Proclamation, the Gettysburg Address, the policy of forgiveness without malice for the southern troops and their leaders, and the plans for Reconstruction of the South.
British Prime Ministers who were Initiate include Benjamin Disraeli, Oliver Cromwell, William Gladstone, William Pitt the Younger, David Lloyd-George, and Winston Churchill who was the most advanced as a 3rd Level Initiate by the end of his life.
Those who can be considered "statesmen" as well as political leaders can be found all over the world: Charles Talleyrand, Otto von Bismarck, David Ben-Gurion, Golda Meir, Prince Metternich, Sir Thomas More, Duke of Wellington, Adlai Stevenson, Cecil Rhodes, Juan Peron, Olaf Palme, Jawaharlal Nehru. These range from the 1st to the 2nd Level. You can see that many of these were not saints and had lots of flaws. It is the service to the world that matters and the increasing ability to have mastery over those Ray Energies for completion of the agreed-upon mission. Gradually, as the Soul gains greater control over its incarnate aspect, all action is infused with its intelligent, loving will, and the personality becomes the perfect channel for the Soul.
Surprisingly, Napoleon I was a 2nd Degree Initiate, and I wonder how many millions his armies killed. King Richard the Lionheart was an Initiate life of El Morya. I'd say there was a fair amount of bloodshed on his Crusade to the Holy Land. Kuthumi was the Pharoah Ramsses II, the Napoleon of Egypt in his time. Even Dear Master Jesus was Joshua the military commander under Moses. He had a scorched-earth policy of slaughtering every man, woman, and child in the cities that were captured in the so-called Holy Land. It gives one pause to think; does it not?
The highest commanders for the Allies in WWII, Douglas MacArthur (Supreme Commander Pacific Theater) and Dwight D. Eisenhower (Supreme Commander European Theater) were Initiates as were George S. Patton (U.S. Third Army), Winston Churchill (War Minister), and Charles de Gaulle (French Resistance). Their military forces were absolutely unstoppable in their use of the 1st Ray Force in conquering the Axis Powers. I truly believe that they were prepared for lifetimes for that role in stopping the Dark Forces from conquering the world. It would have set back the evolution of Humanity for thousands of years. Sanat Kumara wasn't going to let that happen. In fact, in 1942, when Germany and the U.S. were running neck and neck in developing the nuclear weapon, The Lord of The World permitted the release of the secrets of atomic fission to the scientists at Los Alamos, New Mexico, who were under the supervision of the Initiate, Robert Oppenheimer. Hilarion and His Brotherhood mentally impressed the physicists who were intuitively receptive enough with the equations, visions, mathematical formulas, and information needed to beat the Nazis to the punch, so to say. A nuclear bomb in the hands of evil would have subjugated the world. And The Brotherhood never intended for its use, only a demonstration of its destructive power, which would have been enough.
The artists of the world and artistry in all its forms are overseen and intuitively influenced by The Chohan of The 4th Ray (Master Paul) and His Brotherhood of Harmony. That 4th Ray Energy was a big part of the Renaissance Period of Europe. It has been present in all periods but, as you will see, an especially strong impulse of energy was sent during the Impressionistic Period. The following were all Initiates of varying degree: Vincent van Gogh, Auguste Renoir, Pablo Picasso, Amedeo Modigliani, Henri Matisse, Paul Gauguin, Paul Cezanne, Claude Monet, Pieter Breughel, Salvador Dali.
What is striking is the number of renowned musical composers in the West who were Initiate. This was their service to the world and their gift to the ages, and many were highly-advanced Initiates responsive to the creative impulses from the Soul and The White Brotherhood. You could say that they were willingly used as conduits for the musical creations from On High, which were given for the upliftment of Humankind. The list isn't comprehensive but representative enough: Richard Wagner, Antonio Vivaldi, Giuseppe Verdi, Igor Stravinsky, Richard Strauss, Dmitri Shostakovich, Maurice Ravel, Giacomo Puccini, Sergei Prokofiev, Wolfgang Mozart, Gustav Mahler, Franz Liszt, George Handel, Edvard Grieg, Antonin Dvorak, Claude Debussy, Johannes Brahms, Hector Berlioz, Ludvig von Beethoven, and J.S. Bach.
Saints of East and West were Initiate-Members of Earth's Spiritual Hierarchy, having come to teach, spread love and light, provide exemplary lives, and ratchet up the frequency of the planet another notch. Swami Muktananda took the Renunciation Initiation (4th). Guru Nanak, who founded Sikhism, was 3rd Degree and has since then become an Ascended Master. Origen, in the early days of Christianity, was a very high Initiate for his time (4th) and was overshadowed and instructed by his Master, Jesus. Lama Padmasambhava of Tibet was 3rd Level Initiate, thus being Soul-merged. Eisai of Japan, the founder of the Rinzai Zen Sect, was Initiate. Saint Catherine of Alexandria, Saint John of the Cross, Saint Patrick of Ireland, Saint Theresa of Avila, and Joan of Arc were all Initiate. As a side note, it was Master Hilarion that provided the "voice" that she heard in her head. Krishnamurti was a high-level Initiate and took the 4th in that lifetime.
The most influential lives on the planet, from emperor to poet to inventor to philosopher, have been members of The Great White Brotherhood for Planet Earth. One of The Ascended Masters is The Teacher of each Soul. The further along the evolutionary path is the incarnation, the more that the Soul wields its influence and can propel its lower self toward the goals and contract made prior to incarnation and, besides karma to be expiated and lessons to be learned, the goals (once Initiate) have to do with the Overall Plan of Sanat Kumara, which is reflected in the portion of that Plan assigned to The Master and His Ashram of Initiates and then in the sub-portion of the Plan given to the Initiate-Disciple. Free will, talent, motivation, drive, and Ray influence are determinative of success or failure once the personality has sufficiently opened up the intuitive channel to the Soul and remembered what he or she came for. Meditate, Initiates of the Earth, and it will be given unto you.
