THE TRIBULATION

The 7-year Period of Chaos and Cataclysm, which has been prophecied for centuries, is called The Tribulation by Hilarion, Who claims to be the one who wrote "The Revelations" now in The Bible and who was taken out of body while on the island of Patmos, Greece, to be shown the thoroughly symbolic visions which were recorded in his writings of the experiences. Those times are near at hand as Humankind counts time, and one of the reasons why these teachings were given was to make it possible for greater numbers of people to make The Dimensional Shift into The New Age of Harmony and Brotherhood by offering advice on what inner preparatory work would be essential to making that Shift and avoiding the death and destruction that will be experienced by all those who remain focused on their worldly concerns and their self-orientation.
"About 10,000 years prior to the birth of The Master from Galilee, it was recognized that insufficient spiritual progress had been made to avoid the necessity of The Tribulation, and definite plans were laid to bring It about. The Tribulation had been planned right from man's first breathing upon this Planet as one of The Five Pivotal Racial Experiences making up The Great Pentacle." "We have identified The Great Penctacle as comprising The Temptation, The Flood, The Destruction (Middle Atlantean), The Tribulation, and The Transformation. This list is given in correct sequence of time. The first 3 events are in the past. The Tribulation is about to get under way, and The Transformation will occur after the 1000 year Period of Glory to follow the Time of Chaos." "The present state of The Human Group of souls is such that, had it not been for a momentous decision on the part of humanity's Guides, the entire Race would have had to return to The Spiritual Melting Pot in Which all individuality becomes obliterated, pending a renewed 'outbreathing' of the group's Spiritual Essence after a period of purification." "That decision was made about the time of the sinking of The Continent of Atlantis around 10,000 B.C., when it was observed by The Guides that, while much of Humanity had clearly degenerated in spiritual terms, there was nevertheless a small minority, perhaps 10%, who had made great strides in the direction of self-purification and an understanding of The Universal Laws. For the sake of that minority, it was proposed that, instead of returning the entire Race to The Melting Pot, there should first be a separation into 2 fractions: one spiritually advanced enough to continue on to higher lessons than The Earth Plane can teach, the other incapable of such advance and lost to any hope of regeneration. The advanced portion would then be spared the fate of the majority who had become trapped in the downward spiral." "In order to ensure that this fragmentation into 2 parts would be made as accurately as possible, it was decided to establish a period of some 12,000 years to be called The Time of Nations, during which forces would be brought to bear upon The Race which would promote a clear division, so that there would be very few borderline cases. A two-part program was set up. The First Part involved the influence of the many 'Teaching Aids' that have been available to Mankind during the past 12,000 years: Wayshowers and Avatars like Moses, Buddha, and Jesus; the religious institutions which were founded on their teachings; the corrective function of reality itself acting as a mirror to reflect back to individuals some truth regarding their own inner natures; and the grand stage of history upon which the nations could interact and so exemplify many human failings and the result of those failings." "The Second Part of The Program was to be a period of time 20 centuries following the birth of Jesus, during which many natural upheavals and catastrophies would coincide with man-made wars and economic dislocations in order to force all of Humanity then in incarnation to choose internally between The Light and The Darkness. The desperate times were intended to present to everyone a clear choice between caring for others and caring for the self, for The Guides of The Race knew that this choice would allow Them to accurately label all who underwent it." "An additional purpose of The Time of Troubles, as It has often been called, was to prompt as many souls as possible to seek a more spiritual path through life. However, that purpose was secondary to the main one of presenting the choice. The reason for using the choice between others and the self as the labelling technique is straight-forward. The next phase of Humanity on this Planet is intended to be erected on the basis of mutual caring." "The life-form of Homo Sapiens has been carefully nurtured and tended through some 10 million years, with various mutations and alterations being brought about at the right times to keep the form matched vibrationally to the Life-stream of Souls utilizing it for incarnation, until today it is ready for The New Shift which The Earth Plane must shortly make to a higher frequency of manifestation. In actual fact, not all segments of the species Homo Sapiens are prepared for The Shift. However, it is judged that there are enough individuals capable of handling the increased energies to guarantee that the physical Race will survive and continue. The Shift will be accompanied by various upheavals on The Earth, and these will generally ensure that those individuals who cannot handle The Higher Vibrations will die out, leaving only the more evolved bodies to form the nucleus of the life-form that will be used by The Human Soul Group in the time to come." "For The Guardians of The Human Life-stream, the preparation, the manipulation, and, when needed, the purging of the life-form used by Humanity are merely routine considerations. They are intent upon the general progress of The Human Life-stream and do not view the loss of individual bodies at the physical level as having any great significance. Indeed, The Guardians, Whom We have called The Elohim, tend to regard the entire Human Life-stream as a single Unit, the progress of which is in their care. They do not grieve as We do at the risk of losing individuals souls (personalities) in the process." "In the face of the chaos and upheaval soon to come, each individual will confront the choice of either 1) moving up and out of the morass of selfishness and personal gratification, or 2) sinking down and further into that morass. If he chooses the latter, then he will not be a part of the future of this Planet." "Mankind will, within a few short years, count among its members only those who have been purified of the dross of self-seeking and materialism in the fires of The Tribulation. In that assumption We are extremely confident, for it has been decreed that only such purified souls will be permitted to incarnate during The Millennium following The Great Trial. And no human act or decision can change that decree." "Those who have chosen to learn through experiencing the upheavals must be allowed to follow that path. Indeed, their Souls may well have decided that such an experience is the only thing that might rescue them from the downward spiral. With compassion and yet with the trust that comes from knowing that God watches over all of his children, it is possible to stand back and allow such souls to run headlong into the concrete walls that are looming before them. Perhaps in no other way can the lost sheep of The Human Family be rescued." "In the months and years ahead of you, there will come opportunities to help others and opportunities to learn that which uplifts the spirit. Do not turn away from these chances, for they will never come again in just the same way. For many, these opportunities may be the last they will ever be given. We are not indulging in idle threats when We say that many souls now upon The Earth are, literally, at the last fork in the road that can ever be presented to them. If they make the choice which is against The Creator's Laws, then they are, in every sense of the word, lost. The opportunity will never come again." "All of The Souls and Entities at The Level from Which this dictation is originating feel deeply the distress of their human brothers at this hour, as the shadows of The Great Trial lengthen upon the Planet. We know what tests lie just ahead. We know the risks that are to be run. We know the sorrow and pain that must visit The Race. We send you our love, our thoughts, our strength. Ask to benefit from these vibrations being flooded into The Earth, and you shall. Seek only to live the truth, to hold your own light high so that those who grope in darkness may see." "A crucial drama is being enacted on The Earth. The drama is that of separation, the separation of the nobler from the baser fraction of Humanity. When the final decision in the heart of each individual can be put off no longer, when each must make his choice either for or against his own spiritual advancement, that is when The Race of Man will crack in two. It will be a wrenching experience deep in the soul of billions of humans." "The time of that choice fast approaches. In the few years that yet remain, much can be done. Many can be salvaged from the dissolution which awaits those who cannot set their feet upon The Upward Path. That dissolution, though it will not obliterate the essence of any soul, will remove the uniqueness that so many lives and so much effort have created. And the ones that are drawn back into The Common Pool (The Sea of Spirit) will never see their more advanced brothers again out of the same eyes." "The Dark Brotherhood wishes to promote the split, so that the greatest number will have failed to move forward into spirituality and Light. We are seeking to bring as many as possible into the love and radiance of The New Age of Man. You can throw your energies behind either side, for that is your choice. But it is now that you must decide. It is now that The Human Race cries out for help. It is now that the dedication and pluck of the seekers is being tested. Do not fail The Race. Do not fail your brothers, for then you have failed yourself." "It is now almost certain that a massive convulsion must take place in order to clear away the baseness and the negativity which Mankind has cast, like a dark poultice of gloom, upon this beautiful Earth, upon this lovely garden that God gave as a gift to his earth children." "We place no value in being accurate Prophets. The whole purpose of prophecy is to provide a warning that might prompt Humanity to change its ways and thus avoid the foreshadowed events." "War and bloodletting are not to be a part of humanity's future. It was decided many centuries ago that if Mankind could not bring about the resurrection of its own innocense by the end of The Second Millennium (after Jesus), then events would be arranged to accomplish it from without. Unfortunately, baseness, cruelty, and self-seeking are so rampant among the present earth population that The Cleansing appears to be attainable only by removing practically the entire civilization, involving the death of billions, and starting over." "And yet, Mankind has the gift of free will and more than once has used this wondrous gift to find an escape from what appeared to be a hopeless situation. That is why it was decided to apply pressure only gradually to the human population while, at the same time, ensuring that Mankind would have access to a written explanation of the situation and the reasons behind it. The teaching of the background of The Tribulation was begun at the time of Christ and since then has become incorporated into numerous holy writings and many psychic channelings and prophecies." "It is our earnest hope that Humanity will find the key to its own salvation and that it will not prove necessary to physically remove the more advanced souls while the rest are destroyed along with what remains of the present civilization. While We are always hopeful that Mankind can find the inner resources to accomplish this task, We are not cheered by the probabilities which our forecasting instruments show Us at this time." "The efforts of the world's seekers have been instrumental in deferring the major pressures until the final years of The Tribulation and even in softening the blows that have already fallen, particularly in what is called The Third World. But there has not yet occurred a massive revolution in consciousness. There has not yet appeared, among the population at large, that turning toward The Inner Source (The Higher Self) which alone can prevent the destruction of the current civilization." "We have said that the pressures would be applied only gradually. The reason for introducing the difficulties step-wise rather than suddenly is the fact that We cannot forecast accurately how mankind's free-will option will be utilized. It is felt that the slow build-up of tribulation pressures will give your Race the opportunity to make a collective decision to step upwards into The Light before it becomes too late for rescue." "The Powers that decide questions like the timing of The Tribulation agreed to delay the final upheavals in order to see to what extent The Race of Humanity could accomplish internally the spiritual uplift which The Tribulation was intended to enforce externally." "Now, in this period of time, The Human Race is being shown, once again, that the 'wages of sin is death', not in the literal sense of this biblical expression but according to its true metaphorical interpretation: that prolonged disobedience to The Cosmic Laws results in failure of the support systems that sustain mankind's planetary existence." "Human beings imagine they can do as they please with all The Lower Kingdoms -- savaging the forests, polluting the seas and rivers, bloating themselves on the cadavers of animals -- and that these actions will have no consequence. They think they can pour their mental energy into the fashioning of apocalyptic weapons able to kill millions at a time but that somehow they can prevent all that energy from manifesting in the use of those weapons. Perhaps worst of all, they believe they are justified in the hatred and resentment which they carry about, often for generations, not realizing that they are merely staining their own souls with such negativity. But everything in The Earth Realm comes with a price tag, and every debt has its day of reckoning. For Mankind on this Planet, that day is now." "Just as happened in Atlantis, the pressures on Humanity to reform and spiritualize Itself will build gradually, giving those who have retained a modicum of intuitive awareness an opportunity to recognize the yawning chasm of destruction into which The Race is preparing to rush headlong. If enough souls can make the necessary changes, it is possible, even at this late hour, to avoid the complete break-up of human civilization. Only time can determine how the impasse will be resolved, for Mankind has the gift of free will, and no Higher Spiritual Source can say ahead of time exactly how that gift will be exercised." "In terms of one's own safety, one's own well-being, it is the case that no individual need be concerned about those areas so long as he fixes his attention on The Truths of The Spirit, on the necessity for raising the vibrational level, on the understanding and the spirituality of oneself and of The Race as a whole. Any who decide, in their hearts, that this is the path they wish to tread and who ask in meditation or in direct prayer for a way to be shown how they can be of service to others in this greatest time of need for The Human Race will find that their prayers will be answered immediately. Opportunities to perform this service will, literally, flood into their lives. If they merely take these opportunities as they come, these individuals may be certain that no harm and no need will ever visit them. There is a Law of a very high nature to that effect, and that Law never fails." "We would like to point out that The Tribulation is the result of the materialistic philosophy in large measure. It has not been decreed as a punishment for Man nor as a means of jolting Him out of his current mode of thinking. The Tribulation has been created by the very energies which the materialistic mode of behavior spawns. It is likely that the experience of The Tribulation upon The Earth will encourage millions of souls to rethink their philosophies and to see that matter and form are merely tools for learning. Once this thought has become implanted, it is not likely that the errors of the current world-view of Man will be repeated." "There is no longer any time left to allow the stragglers and the laggards to have their way. If they cannot voluntarily turn from the lure of worldy goals, then these things must be snatched away to leave them nothing but their own inner strength for support. And very soon it will be time for that Final Test to be run." "The purpose of the testing phase shortly to be initiated is simple to state. It is to truly distinguish the evolved souls from those who do not wish to see The Truth. It is to make certain that the ones who enter into The New Age of peace, light, and love are those who can be truly counted on to work for the spiritual progress of all their brothers and to whom matters of the self have faded into unimportance. All along it has been known, at least by the minority of souls able to read aright the message of Scriptures, that when the time of The End would come, it would come like a snare, a trap suddenly sprung upon the world, catching unawares the souls who had not prepared for the worst." "Those who are on the positive side of The Light will see The Universe unfold beautifully before them and will see the fruits of their endeavors to help their brothers, whereas those whose attention is directed downwardly into The Earth into materialism, selfishness, and so forth, will be aghast at the destruction and disintegration which they see around them. This process will be unvarying and will continue right through the entire Period of Chaos which is coming. We can tell you with Our Whole Heart that those who are working for The Light and for The Spirit will be completely and utterly protected from all negative influences in terms of the coming conflagration." "In The Tribulation, Man will see more clearly than ever before the direct link between his own inner condition and the external circumstances that result. The last phase of The Lesson will make it abundantly clear to all who experience the destruction and chaos about to befall The Earth that Man and Man alone is the author of all 'evil' which besets Him and, conversely, that He can, with effort, transmute any negative external circumstance into a positive one simply by purifying Himself of negativity." "You who read these words are living in a Time of Transition, a chaotic and frightening period for many who have been asleep to the deeper currents of human evolution and who cannot raise their sights from the daily round of little concerns to a larger vista of the world's predicament. It is for you to stand ready with the help that may be needed by those who have not seen as far as you have. But the help must be tailored to the need. Some may require physical aid, others food or shelter, yet others a gentle word of kindness. At first only a few will need you to explain the esoteric background of the present stage of earth history. Yet as time passes and The Darkness deepens, more and more will want to hear the words of comfort, hope, and light that you will be able to impart." "Above all, do not imagine that you are not able to help those who come for aid. Your Guides and theirs are quite aware of your talents and would not waste their time bringing across your path anyone whom you could not help. Lastly, remember that you are the torch-bearers of a New Order of Love on The Earth. Though the details of the new civilization have yet to be worked out, it has been decreed that its basic driving motivation must be that of caring for others rather than for the self. This noble purpose can only be sustained if it is erected on a foundation of brotherhood and love." War: "There is an absolute necessity that the immense thought-form (at The Aetheric Level) of hatred and bigotry, which man's thoughts have cast over the whole Earth, be removed. Over the past decades, there has been more hateful and bigoted thought than there has been action, and this means that the thought-form has continually increased in power. The action to which this thought-form corresponds is that of warfare and violence between groups, and such action is the only one which is capable of getting rid of this horrible Cancer that sprawls upon The Living Earth. In a sense, it is necessary for there to be some form of conflict on a large scale in order that The Earth can be cleased of this thought-form." "In the case of Mankind as a whole, there is a necessity that the internal characteristics of rage, hatred, rivalry, and aggression be recognized, for unless this can be done, there will be no incentive for The Race to change. When millions of human beings begin to experience, in hard reality, the results of the thought-form of hatred and aggression, they will be able to understand better than ever before that they do, in fact, have these flaws. Without this process, Man would never become aware of the things He harbors inside Him, and He would never be moved to purify Himself of his negativity." "Since Humanity Itself has been the author of all warfare and bloodletting on this Planet, only that same Humanity can put an end to it. The pain and suffering which warfare always brings is gradually teaching Humanity the futility of all strife and ill will. Sooner or later, the lesson will be learned. And if need be, your Race will be allowed to use even the nuclear bomb on Itself (regionally). By providing a reality that reflects back the emotions and consciousness of each individual and group, The Guides of Humanity know that eventually The Human Race will sicken of the suffering that always accompanies war." The Galactic Observers: "The Galactic Observers will ensure that man's negativity is not exported into the space surrounding this Planet as a result of nuclear holocaust. They have the technical capability of disarming atomic weapons from a distance and have agreed to do so if it appears that a large-scale unleashing of these engines of destruction is imminent. They may, however, allow some smaller scale detonations to take place in order to encourage Mankind to learn the lesson We have been discussing. However, aside from this potential curbing of a large-scale nuclear exchange, Humanity is given virtually unlimited freedom to choose its path." "We should point out that The Observers Who have come to this region of space all understand that The Human Family has placed Itself in a dreadful predicament and that the years to come will shortly be filled with dread and catastrophy for The Race. They are prepared to help when asked to do so by The Hierarchy above Them, and They are now preparing their instruments of healing and rescue for the time when the most serious need arises." "Some of the vehicles from other parts of This Galaxy are in the vicinity of Earth because of the risk of damage to the fabric of space due to mankind's dabbling with energies He does not understand. We refer to nuclear explosive energy. These Entities Who have come to protect Man from Himself have the ability of literally stopping a nuclear explosion which has begun or of interfering with the explosive mechanism of a nuclear warhead in order to prevent an explosion if They wish to do so. Alternatively, They have other means by which to strengthen the fabric of space in the region of a nuclear blast, so that there need be no risk of destroying the fabric of The Universe." The Jesus Sacrifice: "It was known millennia ago that a substantial fraction of This Human Group would not be able to accomplish the necessary internal changes, but at least they will have the opportunity to make the choice. That opportunity (among other things) was purchased for them by the suffering of The Perfect Man, 2,000 years ago, when He was nailed upon a wooden cross and left to die." "Prior to the life of The Being you call Jesus, it was assumed by The Guardians that the many laggards would have to be drawn back into The Source, purified, and then launched once again into The Web of Matter, beginning anew at the unconscious, unrealized stage. However, the master's heart went out to these unfortunate beings. He knew the difficulties they had experienced, because He too had walked the path of temptation (in other lives on Earth). He too had struggled to achieve purification at the human level. He too had tasted the bitter lash of retribution for actions that defied The Cosmic Laws. He therefore petitioned The Guardians to allow all those who had not passed The Test to be allowed one final opportunity to succeed where before they had failed, and He offered Himself in return. That is, He offered to be ignominiously nailed to a cross in full sight of those He was redeeming." "That final opportunity is about to reach its climax upon this Planet. It is called The Tribulation, and all those alive on the Planet during the darkest phase will feel its sting. He did, indeed, take upon Himself at least part of the karma of Mankind, for otherwise the bargain would not have been accepted." "The misery, suffering, and death are part of a Plan that will certainly result in the salvation and rescue of many souls who otherwise could not have been reached. We urge all who read these words to do whatever they can to alleviate the misery of the world. Your task is to exemplify the traits of compassion and love which The Master so perfectly embodied, for by doing so you advance not only yourself but others by your example." The Trigger: "The Shift of The Earth's Axis is merely one of several possibilities regarding 'The Trigger' which will be used to bring The Tribulation to a close. Three of the other alternatives are: the inward collapse of the earth's crust, having an asteroid made to collide with the planet, and the passage of The Earth through a 'cloud' of debris, gas, etc. in space. We must emphasize that all of these portents are merely pointing to possibilities. The future is and always has been in a great state of flux due to man's free will. The decision as to which set of events to unleash will be made in a final way just before the circumstances are triggered, for The Guides of Humanity wish to preserve to Themselves all options that may increase the effectiveness of The Tribulation upon Mankind. Aside from the necessity of having the events foreshadowed in The Revelations be enacted somewhere upon The Earth and be seen by at least some incarnated souls, there are no hard and fast rules which must be followed." The New Golden Age: "We urge all readers to take a loftier perspective on the coming upheavals, understanding that they represent merely the birth-pangs of The New Age. In order for The Aquarian Dispensation to permit the fullest flowering of all that is good and noble in the human breast, the errors of the last 2,000 years must be stripped away, blotted out forever from the memory of The Race. Unfortunately, recent events suggest that nothing short of a major catastrophe can bring that about." "As the chaos spreads, the 'unconscious' seekers will find themselves unprepared. Not only will they lack a belief system that can place the events into a more comforting perspective, but they will greatly fear for their loved ones, many desperately attempting to hoard food or stockpile weapons. They will perceive only a headlong rush toward catastrophe and will not know that all of these things have been prophesied for millennia and that part of the prophecy is that there will emerge from this Time of Trial a new and purified Race of Humanity, One which will have learned finally that Mankind is but a single Family and that love, brotherhood, and unity must be the stepping stones to the next Great Phase of its adventure in The Material Planes." "The Doors of Light could not be flung wide until there were enough 'seekers' in incarnation to be able to receive and keep pure The Light of Truth Which is to stand at the core of The New Age. These guardians of spiritual truth had to be in place before the 'tap' could be turned on, so to speak. And it is upon their efforts and dedication that the success of this last great gamble will rest, for it is, indeed, a gamble." "Hold fast to your beliefs through The Night of Chaos, for the most glorious of dawns awaits your dazzled eyes when the darkness lifts. The Earth is destined to become what all of you long for in your hearts: a Garden of Joy where tears are shed only for happiness and the laughter of his children echoes to the farthest Galaxy." "With the coming of The New Age, there will be a dawning of a different understanding about the nature of Man and of the nature of The Universe in which He finds Himself. Mankind will understand that it is one family interconnected by The Sea of Spirit in Which all are immersed, and, at the same time, He will realize that the matter which He sees about Him is composed of one substance, only one substance, which He will probably call The Aether again. We believe that this recognition of the oneness of all created matter will soon be manifested upon The Earth." "In The New Age about to break like a glorious Dawn upon this Planet, men will recognize their responsibility to the lesser Kingdoms of Life, and never again will an animal have to be sacrificed for the sake of hunger or find a grave in the stomach of a human being. And men will find again the key to their own spirituality and will earnestly seek to open themselves to all Higher Light, knowing that by that road only can they come at last to the goal of their incarnational process: to escape from The Wheel of Rebirth, to be done with the entrapments which physical experience sets out for the unwary, and to journey on The Astral Lands." "It is now time for Mankind to open its eyes in the clear light of Reality and to see that there is only one way for men to live together, and that is in harmony, brotherhood, and love. That is the keynote of The Aquarian Age." "Earth Humanity has volunteered to show the rest of The Universe what love can do. For the most part, other Cosmic Races have chosen the mental path and do not understand what good can come of unchaining the emotional nature, particularly as They observe the sorrow and destruction that humans on this Planet have fashioned from the excesses of their negative emotions. But these same emotions will be purified, and, once cleansed of the dross of self, they will become wings that speed the soul towards a glory that even the most wildly optimistic among you has not dared to imagine." "We foresee a time in the not-too-distant future when all of Humanity acts together to manifest the same Divine Love that Jesus embodied when He walked The Earth. This is what has been called The Christing of The Race, and it will come about in an outpouring of Love so vast that it will astound the skeptics who, even now, look down from their space vehicles and shake their heads at the misguided and unenlightened pathways that so much of Humanity is following. As the children of Earth begin to teach the secret of The Christ Love to The Universe, those observers will see a facet of being they had never before glimpsed." The Prelude: "Watch as the events unfold. If you find yourself fearing that the chaos and destruction will never end and that you are living through The Final Days of Mankind on Earth, remember that these things are merely a prelude to the emergence of a new and spiritualized Race of human beings to whom has been promised a Golden Age of peace, brotherhood, and unity." "That Golden Age is not far off as Man measures time. A short period of darkness will come, but then The Dawn will break, and with It will begin an Era of immense progress both materially and spiritually, truly an Age of Miracles." "You can be part of that wonderful experience. You need only to continue to practice kindness and caring, reaching out to help others whenever the opportunity presents itself. Above all, trust that there is a Higher Plan behind the negative manifestations on The Earth and that the deepening shadows around you will soon dissipate." "If you cannot bring yourself to believe in a loving Creative Source supporting your world, then at least believe in yourself, or in the inevitable victory of truth and goodness, or in the inherent nobility of the human spirit. In doing so you will be practicing faith, without which the journey through life loses all meaning, and the mountain of spiritual achievement can never be scaled."
