WILL

"The will of Man is, in a sense, The Will of God, because it is The Spark (The Higher Self) of The Divine within each human heart that gives rise to the phenomenon of will. More specifically, the will of Man comes from The Facet of God Which corresponds to God The Father (The First Aspect or Ray of The Godhead), and it is this Will Facet Which represents the creative urges and the very Power That was used to create all that exists."

"Thus man's will is part of God's own Will. Now, if man's will is merely a fragment of The Divine Will, is it not clear that to follow the inner guideline of will is the same as following God's Will? This alignment of the inner will with that of The Father is, of course, the goal of spiritual endeavor, for to be so aligned means to be one in thought and in action with Him."

"That is the meaning of Christ's statement (Not My will but Thine be done). He was referring to His great desire to align His will with That of The Father, to make God's Will His own. However, this automatically happens when any person listens to the true Source of will within his heart. The will of The Soul (The I Am Presence) in Man is The Will of God, and a conflict between God's Will and that of Man can come about only when Man loses sight of His kinship with God and begins to pay attention to the earthly desires of the lower self (i.e. the personality)."

"When man's mind becomes clouded with the concerns of daily life, the distractions of the senses, or the lure of power, money, or fame, that is when the will of Man diverges from That of God, and that is when it is necessary to remember that only God's Will is intended to manifest through the human heart. This is not a surrendering of one's will to that of another. It is merely a remembering of Who one really is, a rediscovery of The True Source of light, love, and power within the self."
