"With the exception of certain fly species and mosquitos, all of the so-called pests are merely animal souls seeking to live their lives on The Earth Plane, to learn the great lessons of matter, and to set aside their karma. The best general view to adopt toward all such life-forms is that of the Buddhist, namely a reverance which seeks to protect and foster the developement of the various forms."
"As to the flies and mosquitos, these insects are primarily the result of the precipitation into matter of elementals and negative thought-forms respectively. As such, the karmic burden arising from the killing of either of these species is non-existent. Nonetheless, it is an excellent exercise in tolerance and reverence for life to look upon even these negative manifestations with kindness, seeking to avoid killing them whenever possible. Indeed, the more the elementals and negative thought-forms manifest in insect life of an annoying type, the less there are at The Aetheric Level seeking to precipitate even more serious circumstances for Mankind."
"In a sense, these species were created in order to protect Man, to some extent, from the negative thought-forms He habitually creates in The Aether and from the base elementals which his negative emotions attract to Him. Far better to be plagued by mosquitos than to have the equivalent negative thought-form gather together and cause a fire that might destroy one's house."
"As to the innocent woodchucks and mice, remember that God created them too and that any action which causes harm or death to one of these small animals automatically results in karma for the perpetrator. If it becomes essential to be rid of a woodchuck or a family of mice, there are ways to accomplish that without harm to theanimals. There are traps available which do not damage the animal in any way. One needs merely to be willing to take the extra time to go about it in a humane and reverential manner."
