CHILDREN
"The most spiritual point of view in regard to children is that set forth by Ghibran (Khalil), when he compared a parent to a bow and the children to arrows sent forth from the bow. But the arrows do not belong to the bow and do not, in any sense, continue the 'life-line' of the bow. The bow is merely an instrument used to launch the arrows into the world. And, in an analogous fashion, parents are merely the instruments chosen by God to launch His purified souls afresh into the world of matter." |
