"The natural make-up of any normal plant is one which requires contact with sunlight and earth in order to allow it to develope all of the elements and compounds which it was intended to provide to Man. If this essential contact is curtailed or substituted by some altered form of energy (artificial light), then the result is a weaker yield of the essential components and an unbalanced plant. Plants of all kinds require the sun's rays and the earth's vibrations in order to develope their own balance of nutrients at the physical, astral, and aetheric levels, and the human body requires the balanced plant in order to keep itself in balance."
